Adhering to the work safety policy of “safety and prevention-focused comprehensive management”, Sinochem Distribution strengthens its primary responsibility for work safety, performs management divided by leadership, business line and region, launches hidden danger investigations, and establishes incentive mechanisms to drive all front-line employees to identify and eliminate hidden dangers in every corner. Besides that, Sinochem Distribution also carries out diverse HSE education and internal & external training activities in various forms to provide the employees of the Company and service providers with necessary HSE knowledge.
Sinochem Distribution never compromises on safety. Throughout 2019, Sinochem Distribution launched more than 90 safety inspections covering all the operation processes of the Company, including daily routine inspections, seasonal inspections, and special inspections. We focus on the safety on site and in the front line to consolidate the foundation. Meanwhile, we keep establishing and optimizing problem supervision and tackling mechanisms, track the removal of hidden dangers in real time, as part of the continued efforts to improve our HSE performance, and establish a favorable environment for sustainable development.
Full preparedness for potential accidents is a pillar of Sinochem Distribution’s emergency response capacity. Sinochem Distribution has established an emergency response management system to prepare for any potential risk accidents in advance, so that professional actions can be taken at any time. This system can provide professional support for both the Company and its partners. In addition, we regularly carry out emergency rescue drills and share emergency response expertise with customers and the local government. For 2019, we held 5 emergency drills including emergency rescue exercises for ground transportation of hazardous chemicals, which helped the Company win recognition and trust from the local government, peers and logistics service providers.
