On the afternoon of July 26, 2018, a working group consisting of Li Bo, General Manager of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution Co., Ltd (Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution ), Li Min, General Manager of Sinochem Liaoning, Zhou Jiankang, General Manager of East China Branch of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution and relevant marketing and logistics teams inspected the 20 million t/a refining and chemical integration project in Hengli Petrochemical (Changxing Island, Dalian) Industrial Park.They had in-depth exchanges and discussions with Fan Hongwei, Chairman and General Manager of Hengli Petrochemical Co., Ltd., and Tao Xingyu, Domestic Sales Director of Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. and his marketing team.
Hengli Group's 20 million t/a refining and chemical integration project is a major state-supported project for rejuvenating northeast China. With a total investment of RMB 56.2 billion, it is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of 2018, with crude oil processing capacity of 20 million t/a, and aromatics production capacity of 4.5 million t/a. After the project is put into production, a complete industrial chain of "crude oil-aromatics-PTA-new polyester material-spinning-weaving" will come into being. In addition, a 1.5 million tons ethylene project of Hengli Petrochemical is also undergoing, which will use the refinery dry gas, n-butane and naphtha provided by the 20 million t/a refining and chemical integration project. The project is planned to be put into production by the end of 2019. The objective is to promote collaboration between the resources in the North and the South, jointly safeguard the petrochemical product market, work together on logistics and distribution, and launch the offline establishment of industrial alliances.
After knowing the progress of the refining projects and visiting the plant on site, the working group was deeply impressed by the advanced technology and process, flexible production ideas and work efficiency of Hengli Group. Mr. Li Bo shared the marketing experience of Quanzhou Petrochemical in early stages, introduced the marketing and unified logistics of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution , and expressed the willingness to further the marketing and logistics cooperation with Hengli Petrochemical. Mr. Fan Hongwei said that Sinochem is a highly market-oriented enterprise. As a large independent refinery, Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. is happy to work with Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution to optimize production, expand marketing campaign, and organize ex-factory logistics. The two parties reached a consensus on future collaboration between the resources in the North and the South, jointly safeguarding the petrochemical product market, and launching the offline establishment of industrial alliances. Both sides expressed their willingness to strengthen marketing and logistics ties based on the existing cooperation between Sinochem and Hengli Group so as to further release the vitality of high-quality resources and superior capacity and establish a new ecology and new landscape in the petrochemical industry.
