January 12, 2018 marks a milestone on the path of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution Co., Ltd. (Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution). Ning Gaoning, Secretary of CPC Committee and Chairman of Sinochem Group, preached the general ideas of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, unveiled the plaque for the Company, and sent greetings to employees. Yang Shihao, Vice President and member of the Party Group of Sinochem Group, Zhong Ren, Assistant President of the Group and Vice President of Energy Business Department, Li Qiang, Secretary of the Board of Directors and Director of the General Office, and Zhu Yongliang, Director of Department of Party Affairs, kept him company during the inspection.
At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, Chairman Ning and his team arrived at the Shanghai headquarters of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution. The employees spontaneously welcomed Chairman Ning and other leaders in the lobby and corridors. As soon as the elevator door opened, the shouts of "Hello, Mr. Ning!" incessantly lingered on. The employees scrambled to shake hands with Chairman Ning and put on festive red scarves for him and other leaders.
"I am very glad to see the establishment of another Sinochem company. Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution shoulders the important mission of Sinochem Group in the marketing, promotion and network construction of chemical products. Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution has made progress and expansion on the basis of its original business. This is the beginning of innovation and brings good expectations for our upstream construction, production and future sales. Thank you all for your hard work and achievements in the past few months. I am delighted to see that every one of you is full of enthusiasm and vigor in work. I wish Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution a better future, and every employee grow and live a better life."
In the inspiring affirmation, encouragement and blessings of Chairman Ning, and the warm applause and expectant eyes of the company staff, the leaders who participated in the inauguration ceremony picked up the blue flasks symbolizing Sinochem and slowly poured sand to the hourglass table. The signage "Sinopec Petrochemical Distribution Co., Ltd." gradually appeared on the platform. The moment Mr. Ning raised the flask, with a sound of music, the red banner on the background wall was opened, and fireworks set off. The song Good Days was played at this moment, marking the official opening of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution. Mr. Ning gladly signed his name on the flask, which became a permanent memorial on the path of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution and a precious gift in the Company's history.
Several employees took out a book that they were reading, i.e. Why written by Mr. Ning, and asked Mr. Ning to leave his valuable signature.
The day Mr. Ning paid the visit happened to be the anniversary for five employees of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution to join the Party. The Company held a political birthday party for them and invited Chairman Ning to host it. Chairman Ning cut the cake and sent out political birthday cards to the five colleagues. While sending out his blessings, Mr. Ning also said that Party members should stick to their beliefs, and he expressed his earnest hope for all Party members of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution.
When stepping forward to the big screen displaying the cloud map of 1chemic, Mr. Ning asked with interest about the development, construction and operation of 1chemic:
"Do customers make online purchase or shift to online platform after buying things offline now?"
"Does the platform bring convenience or cheaper products?"
From operating conditions to business models, from self-operating to third-party services, Mr. Ning showed his great concern from a strategic perspective.
Mr. Ning noted: "The platform must provide convenience to customers, and the information on funds, logistics, and transactions must be transparent, otherwise it will be an incomplete platform with only fancy pages but no actual trades. The platform must endow customers with vitality, or it will end up looking impressive but lacking real worth."
Chairman Ning gives Party lecture to conveyed new ideas
In the large conference room, after listening to Li Bo's work report, Chairman Ning preached the essence and connotation of the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to all Party members and cadres attending the conference and via a video call. Starting from the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China that he just visited, Mr. Ning explained profound theories in simple language and quoted copiously from many sources. He elaborated on how to learn, understand, and implement the general ideas of the 19th CPC National Congress from the five aspects – "new era, new thinking, new strategy, new goal, and new state". The employees of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution have long been looking forward to Mr. Ning's intriguing Party lecture. More than one hundred Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution's Party members, cadres and employees from all across the country sometimes listened attentively and sometimes took down notes to earnestly comprehend the main points and connotations of Ning's speech.
As the lecture continued, Mr. Ning gradually shifted the topic to company development, and put forward some requirements and ardent expectations for Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution. Mr. Ning pointed out that from the major policies and guiding ideologies developed after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to the development of Sinochem, Energy Business Department, and Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution, these major strategies and minor strategies are well connected. Sales is an important and challenging task. Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution is an indispensable outlet in the entire energy strategic industrial chain of Sinochem Group. Therefore, the prosperity of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution will naturally drive upstream sections. We all survive, or all is lost.
