In order to thoroughly implement the general ideas of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, strengthen the dominant position of Party building, and implement the spirit of HSE special meeting of the Group and Business Division, on June 21, Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution Co., Ltd. (Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution) and Dalian-Sinochem Chengxin Warehousing Co., Ltd. jointly launched the first "Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution" Professional Skills Competition. Themed the National Work Safety Month, the event effectively unified the iron army spirit of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution with the general ideas of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and condensed the strength into the strategic transformation led by "Science First", so as to provide a solid foundation for the innovation and development of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution. Twenty-five people from 7 teams from South China Branch, Fujian Branch, East China Branch, Logistics Subcommittee, Marketing Subcommittee, General Subcommittee, Sinochem Chengxin Co., Ltd. participated in the competition, with nearly 100 audiences.
Opening Ceremony
At the opening ceremony, the participating teams were all graceful and in high spirits.
The opening ceremony kicked off as the passionate music began. Seven participating teams, the judging panel, and young volunteers made their entrance in the impassioned march.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Guolun, Deputy General Manager of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution. Li Bo, Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution attended the event and delivered a speech. Li Min, Secretary of the CPC Committee and General Manager of Sinochem Liaoning, delivered a welcome speech. Cao Yifeng, General Manager of the Organization Development Department of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution, and relevant leaders of the branches of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution attended the event as well. Taking this as an opportunity, Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution played the sailing horn of "Party-led, Science First".
Fire Drill
With the order of Li Bo, Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution, the fire drill in Sinochem Chengxin officially began.
After the commander-in-chief gave the instruction, the drill proceeded in an orderly manner. This was a drill jointly participated by Sinochem Chengxin, clients, and a professional fire brigade. The specific process is as follows: A tenant found a fire in Warehouse No. 35 and called for help from surrounding operators. At the same time, the tenant called 119 with his mobile phone, and the tenant in Warehouse No. 39 opened the fire hydrant on the wall in time and connected it to the firehose. The on-site personnel were divided into 2 groups. The first group took the fire extinguisher and rushed to the site to put out the fire; the other group opened the fire hydrant on the wall, and connected it to the firehose to put out the fire. After the employees of Sinochem Chengxin received the alarm, the gate guard sounded the alarm. The employees are divided into two groups. One group took a vehicle to open the underground fire hydrant and connected it to the firehose to put out the fire; the other group started the fire truck and rushed to the site. They connected to the firehose to put out the fire. After receiving the call, the fire brigade sent two fire trucks to the company to put out the fire. After the fire was put out, the fire drill team of Sinochem Chengxin quickly assembled and reported the situation to the commander-in-chief.
Later, Mr. Li Bo and other leaders led visitors around the warehouses of Sinochem Chengxin to investigate the operation and safe production of the company.
General Knowledge Competition
Adhere to Party leadership every second and minute, discuss safety issues through brainstorming. At 2 pm, the teams participated in the General Knowledge Competition. The competition tested participants' theoretical knowledge with questions about work safety, Party building, Xi Jinping's theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, the thoughts of the 19th CPC National Congress and other Party building ideas.
The competition was divided into two sessions, i.e. mandatory answer and buzz-to-answer. After five sessions of fierce competition, namely, the Fledgeling, the Small Try, the Mastery, the Outstanding and the Strutter, the contestants of each team gave the best account of the competition and themselves, achieved outstanding results, and reaped friendship. In the end, the Fujian Subcommittee won the third prize, General Subcommittee the second prize, and the Logistics Subcommittee the first prize.
In the closing speech, Deputy General Manager Wang Guolun noted that at present, Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution is thoroughly implementing the Group's core values, i.e., "Science First", and actively promoting transformation and reform. He said that work safety is the most basic guarantee for strategy implementation and business innovation. "Science First" means that we should pursue progress and innovation in everyday life, and try to do our job better and more scientifically. In the future, we are moving towards intelligence and automation. Therefore, the requirements for skills will be constantly upgrading. As long as we insist on "Science First", we will be able to bring the business of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution to a new peak and advance to the realization of our energy dream. Mr. Wang Guolun urged everyone to cherish this rare opportunity for exchanges, demonstrations, learning and improvement, and bear the awareness of "life first and safe development" in work and life.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Wang Guolun awarded the flag to Fujian Branch, the organization that will host the next "Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution" Professional Skills Competition.
Workshop
At 5 o'clock in the evening, the employees of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution had the sharing meeting of the first "Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution" Professional Skills Competition, which was presided over by Cao Yifeng, Manager of the Organization Development Department. At the meeting, the leaders of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution awarded the contestants who won the first, second and third prizes in the competition the trophies and certificates. Shen Zheng, member of CPC Committee of Sinochem Liaoning and Deputy General Manager, on behalf of the organizer, congratulated on the complete success of the first "Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution" Professional Skills Competition. He said that Sinochem Liaoning is a strong backing for Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution in the North, and he expressed Sinochem Liaoning's enthusiasm. At the sharing meeting, everyone reviewed the busy day through a VCR. Each participating team once again demonstrated their talent in various forms such as talks, small choruses, and poem recitations. At the same time, they sincerely wished Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution a happy one-year birthday and blessed the Company to always be innovative and strong.
Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution – The Orange Legion
In this "Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution" Professional Skills Competition, Sinochem Liaoning's orange legion composed of 13 young volunteers attracted audiences’ attention. The Love+ young volunteers of Sinochem Liaoning were active in and outside the competition. They did many things, such as making a brilliant appearance at the opening ceremony, maintaining the order of the competition, reporting and publicizing the competition beforehand, etc. They silently dedicated their enthusiasm and sweat to the smooth progress of the event, becoming wonderful scenery in the competition.
To better serve the event, the young volunteers were divided into a flag-keeping group, a logistics group, and a publicity group to provide various voluntary services as required at the scene. At the opening ceremony, volunteers acted as facilitators. They led the participating teams to shout firm slogans and step neatly through the rostrum to get reviewed.
Whenever the Party makes an appeal, the regiment takes action to respond. This volunteer service is a concrete practice made by young volunteers of Sinochem Liaoning under the guidance of "Science First". It aims to provide young employees with an opportunity to collectively learn about safe production, and to influence young employees with the spirit of the contestants who strive for the first place in the competition and encourage the youth of Sinochem to keep innovating in the new era and fostering craftsmanship spirit. The Love+ young volunteers of Sinochem Liaoning will continue to carry forward the spirit of dedication and volunteerism, and assist and add vitality to the innovation and development of Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution!
